How Owl trades

What Owl trades

Owl concentrates on BTC and ETH futures and runs several bots of different nature on each pair: trend-following bots ride the moves, counter-trend bots trade the pullbacks, quantitative bots trade statistical deviations. Together they smooth the result through different market phases.

Long and short

Owl opens both long and short positions and uses the exchange's hedge mode, so a trend bot and a counter-trend bot can hold opposite positions on the same pair without closing each other.

AI entry filter

A machine-learning model checks the entry conditions of the bots that have the filter enabled. It skips entries with a weak forecast; levels, exits and risk stay defined by each bot's rules.

Who it suits

Who Owl suits

Traders who want the deepest markets only (BTC, ETH) and a mix of approaches instead of one logic. Owl has traded since 2020 and shows how diversification across bot types behaves over several market cycles.

What to keep in mind

Two pairs mean fewer trades than the 40-pair strategies. Owl's quantitative bots make rare, larger trades, so the share of winning trades is lower than in grid strategies while the average winner is bigger.

Questions about Owl

Why only BTC and ETH?

These pairs have the deepest order books and the longest history, so both the trend and the quantitative bots have enough data. For wide altcoin coverage use Wolf or Mole.

Which timeframes does Owl use?

From 30m to 4h depending on the bot; the exact set is shown above. Trend and counter-trend bots usually use the longer timeframes, quantitative bots the shorter ones.

Can I run Owl and Lion together?

Yes, on different exchange accounts or sub-accounts, or by building your own assembly from the bots of both strategies on one account.

Where do the statistics come from?

From the daily tests of every bot on historical Binance candles, net of exchange fees, on a fixed deposit with multiplier x1. Not a client result and no guarantee of future returns.
